GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE USE OF VEHICLES OF DPTU GO CAR RENTAL LLC Strumica
The driver and all additional drivers must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid ID card and driver's license, and have a minimum of two years of driving experience. Only persons listed in the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle. The renter is fully responsible for the actions of all additional drivers. If the vehicle is driven by a person not listed in the agreement, the driver shall bear full responsibility for all damages and consequences regardless of the selected insurance option. The driver may operate the vehicle outside the borders of the Republic of North Macedonia only with prior approval from GO CAR RENTAL and only in the countries specified in the agreement.
Upon signing the agreement, the renter is required to pay the rental fee and all additional charges. Under standard comprehensive insurance, the driver is required to leave a refundable security deposit in accordance with the applicable price list. No security deposit is required when Full Coverage has been selected. The security deposit shall be refunded after the end of the rental period provided that there are no outstanding liabilities or damages.
The vehicle shall be collected and returned at the agreed location and time. A grace period of up to one hour is allowed. Delays exceeding one hour may be subject to additional charges according to the price list. If the renter wishes to extend the rental period, the lessor must be notified in advance. Extensions are possible only with prior approval. Failure to return the vehicle on time shall be considered unlawful retention and appropriate legal measures may be taken.
CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS
The customer is obliged:
- To use the vehicle responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- To return the vehicle in the same condition, clean and with the same fuel level.
- To pay all tolls, fines, penalties and other expenses incurred during the rental period.
The use of the vehicle is prohibited:
- Under the influence of alcohol, drugs, sedatives or other psychoactive substances.
- For racing, competitions or testing purposes.
- For transporting passengers or goods for hire or reward.
- Outside the authorized countries or on inaccessible roads.
- By persons not listed in the agreement.
The customer is responsible for all damage, loss of parts, documents, keys or equipment, as well as for damage not covered by insurance. Any theft or damage must be reported immediately to the police and to GO CAR RENTAL. In the event of a traffic accident, the driver is required to call the police and obtain a police report. Failure to comply with these obligations shall result in all related costs being borne by the customer. Repairs and replacement of parts may only be carried out with prior approval and at an authorized service center. The driver must immediately notify GO CAR RENTAL of any malfunction or warning light displayed by the vehicle. Any unauthorized interference with the mechanical or electronic systems of the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
All vehicles are covered by mandatory liability insurance and comprehensive insurance. In the event of damage, the driver's liability shall be limited to the applicable deductible amount. The driver may choose Full Coverage, under which the driver bears no liability for damages, provided that all rental agreement terms are complied with. Full Coverage does not apply in cases involving driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unauthorized drivers, intentional or grossly negligent misuse, or unreported accidents. Damage to tires, the oil sump, and damage resulting from improper use of the vehicle are not covered by insurance.
The customer is fully responsible for all traffic violations, fines, administrative costs and any other financial obligations arising during the rental period. If the damages exceed the amount of the security deposit, the customer shall be liable for the difference.
Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. In the event of a violation, GO CAR RENTAL reserves the right to charge the costs of professional cleaning and repair of any resulting damage.
In the event of a return outside business hours, the driver may, by prior arrangement with GO CAR RENTAL, leave the key at an agreed key-drop location. The driver remains responsible for the vehicle until it has been inspected by GO CAR RENTAL.
In the event of loss of the key, documents, parking card or additional equipment, the driver shall reimburse the costs of replacement.
All vehicles may be equipped with tracking and location devices for the purpose of protecting the vehicle and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
By signing the rental agreement, the driver consents to GO CAR RENTAL processing his or her personal data, including copying personal identification documents, solely for the purposes of concluding and performing the rental agreement and complying with legal obligations. The driver agrees that personal data may, where necessary, be disclosed to competent authorities and institutions in accordance with applicable law. Personal data shall be retained for the legally prescribed periods and, upon expiration thereof, shall be deleted or destroyed in accordance with applicable regulations.
The agreement may be terminated by mutual consent of the parties or due to a breach of contractual obligations. GO CAR RENTAL employees have the right to inspect and, if necessary, repossess the vehicle in the event of a breach of these terms and conditions.
All complaints must be reported to GO CAR RENTAL without delay. The parties shall endeavor to resolve any disputes amicably. If an amicable settlement cannot be reached, the Basic Court of Strumica shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
